It is approximately midway through the year. However, in the cinemas, that is enough period for awards dating from last year to have been dished out, new blockbusters released and we are pretty much just remaining with yet another pre-awards season. Compared to last year when The avenger's was undoubtedly the best film, this year has had its ups and downs but we can still pretty much narrow down on what can constitute 5 most interesting movies so far in 2013. Here they are:


1. Iron Man 3

With Robert Downey as one of the lead actors, Shane Black and Drew Pearce have done a formidable job of presenting one of the best in the Iron Man Series. The Iron man 3 integrates psychological tension with real conversations in the rebuilding and retribution plans of one Tony Stark after a devastating attack by the Terrorist, Mandarin. The result is any avid viewer waiting for the next release in the Franchise.


2. Olympus Has Fallen

For a world where politicians and the populace are always concerned about the devastating effects of terrorism, this one keeps you entertained. Released in 22end March, it has grown into one of the top grossing films. It features the legendary Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart and Gerard Butler with the direction of Antoine Fuqua. The movie is centered on the life of mike Banning, a former presidential guard who though had been disgraced, finds himself the one to spearhead the rescue of his president when the terrorists attack. While Butler takes all the limelight, the movie is still a reminder that the action movies genre can still be a solid kicker.


3. Monsters University

Dan Scanlom has definitely surprised us with a campus animation movie which may very well be one of the best not only in 2013 but also in the years to come. While Mike and Sulley may not have been best friends during their Monster's University days, their relationship is definitely one that is worth comparing with your own campus days.


4. Safe Haven

Of all the love movies of 2013, Lasse Hallstrom takes the price for this one. Any lady or man who loves this genre of movies would not have missed it. Hough comes off as an actress who is easy to watch for both her beauty and accomplishment as an actress and, of course Duhamal also played his role perfectly. With perfect locations, you would certainly live in the film in a heartbeat.


5. The Hangover Part III

With Todd Phillips as the director, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms definitely get you onto one of the best rides of their Hangover series. As a wolf pack, they have to find Mr. Chow who has to be surrendered to a gangster s that Doug may be saved. All this begins when Alan's father dies and now the Wolfpack have to find him treatment for mental issues.


6. Fast and Furious 6

It is almost certain that most movie franchises will lose their stream with subsequent release of sequels. However, Fast and Furious 6 is one of the rarest blockbusters that comes off as a portrayal of meaning of a hobby in car racing, friendship and family in an immensely entertaining and satisfying movie.
